Our community litter picks started on 23rd February.
We work with Keep Scotland Beautiful and Team Up To Clean Up
Anyone can take part in our litter picks.
Not only do you make a great and positive impact to areas within our town, you also get to spend time in great company, working towards a common good. Not only for our human neighbours, but also our wildlife.
With marine litter posing such a catastrophic effect to animal, plant and human life, we need to be pro-active with our litter.
Remember a piece of litter dropped unthinkingly on a path, can be blown or carried into our water systems.
Have a look at the photos from our most recent litter pick at Newshot/Kilpatrick Drive. We were joined by volunteers from Scottish Power. Laura from Keep Scotland Beautiful also joined us as we are one of the Anchor Groups of KSB's marine litter campaign - #UpstreamBattle.
The Erskine Salvation Army very kindly provided lunch for our helpers. In total 22 volunteers, most of which came from our town, collect 41 bags of rubbish, in 1.5 hours
